Description:
Our webcam software supports many video sources, including USB cameras, IP network cameras, camcorders, TV tuners, video cards, desktop, and even hard disk directories.

For USB webcams, you can choose Video for Windows or DirectX modes, under the Video Device > Video Source options.

For camcorders, the best connection is Firewire. You can get a Firewire driver in software like Pinnacle 8 or Roxie VideoWave5.

If you want to use a network camera, you enter the IP address of your camera (if the camera's port is not 80) and the model information of your camera. You might also need to play around with video formats, for example, changing MPEG-4 to JPEG or MJPEG. To save the stream from the IP camera to your hard drive as an avi file, select the network camera as a video source, and use an intermediate driver. You can also use IP cams via intermediate driver in instant messenger programs.

In the case of TV tuners, just go under Video Device > Video Source and set the DirectX option to your TV tuner driver. Then select a TV channel, video feeds (Tuner, Composite, S-Video), and input type (Antenna, Cable). Microsoft DirectX 8.1 must be installed. You can also use a video card with TV-In input. Use an AV S-Video/Composite cable adapter if you have AV output.

Sharing your desktop is another feature that you can use when video chatting with people. Tune the desktop options to use an intermediate driver, and adjust the crop and zoom values. In addition, select the Willing Webcam Capture driver in your messenger program (Skype, MSN Live Messenger, Yahoo, and so forth).

You can even use a hard disk directory as your video source. You can set the webcam software to cycle through the picture files, like a slideshow, and then rewind so the show keeps repeating. You can also tell Willing Webcam to delete the files after usage in the viewer. You can stop the album slideshow and save locally, upload the files via FTP or HTTP, or send e-mail/MMS.

Recent changes in this Major Update:
The new video source, 'Program Window', has been added. This video source allows you to capture screenshots of a program window in real time, so you can use the Crop options to select video areas on the program window.
